The A847 steel specification further adds atmospheric corrosion resistance to the A500 standard.
Peak Kong Special Steel rises to the challenge and launches our range of weather-resistant grade products. Similar to our A500 product, it is a cold formed high strength/low alloy steel. But over time, the product forms a permanent, stable light brown rust layer that protects the steel from corrosion, eliminating the need for painting and repainting.
- Our weather-grade steel pipes are produced to ASTM A847 standards, which are similar to ASTM A500 (with the addition of steel that resists atmospheric corrosion)
- Minimum yield strength is 50 ksi, minimum tensile strength is 70 ksi, and minimum elongation is 19%.
